Microsoft EPIC “AI and Engineering Design” Home Edition

In response to Covid 19 and the demand for high quality virtual learning resources, Microsoft hosted the very first Microsoft YouthSpark Home Edition on April 8th, 2020.

The day-long intensive STEM event included sessions from educators, NASA scientists, astronauts, intellectual property attorneys, global health and fitness gurus, celebrity guests, and the Microsoft education team.

Dr. Cesare Wright from the Kino-Eye Center led a fast-paced session on Artificial Intelligence and Human-centered Engineering Design.  Students were introduced to the fundamentals of AI and the design process, and challenged to apply this understanding to solving real-world problems.

We welcome you to share the session with your students and follow along with the design thinking and technical exercises (links below).
